Why Heeskof Audio

You have 30 days for trying out our speakers in your home. If there is anything you don't like, we will refund your purchase. (applicable to standard colours)

As you are buying directly from a manufacturer, you do not pay the dealer costs which range between 30-40% of the sales price.

We use components exclusively from reknowned manufacturers mostly from Denmark and UK.

We have been designing speakers for years now and they are all created and handmade in the Czech Republic.

We are Czech and are proud to develop and manufacture our speakers in the Czech Republic. Free shipping to most EU countries.

We are a Czech family business, so nobody tells us where to save money or cut corners. We simply like making beautiful speakers that sound great.

Acoustics-first design
The cabinet construction is not merely an aesthetic matter. The entire enclosure is manufactured as a single solid and rigid piece, without any screws or glued joints of multiple parts. The internal space is completely free of parallel walls, thus substantially reducing internal resonances and standing waves. Despite its compact size, the loudspeaker pair weighs a solid 13 kg, contributing to overall stability and the clarity of the sound reproduction.
During the design of the Xyla model, the manufacturer decided to abandon the limitations of traditional woodworking, which often leads to boxy shapes and high costs when attempting more complex geometries. The chosen technology provided almost unlimited freedom in design. The final form was developed in collaboration with industrial designer Ondřej Pejchal, resulting—after a year of development—in an unconventional monolithic shape that clearly rejects the stereotype of the “rectangular box” in interior spaces.

3 is more than 2
While small speakers typically use a two-way design, Xyla employs a three-way configuration to ensure full reproduction of the entire frequency spectrum, while allowing each driver to operate only within its optimal frequency range, thus minimizing distortion. At the heart of the system is a high-quality midrange driver from Danish manufacturer SB Acoustics, responsible for the critical range from lower midrange to lower treble, the area to which the human ear is most sensitive.
To ensure perfect detail at the highest frequencies, the system is complemented by a tweeter from the same manufacturer capable of reaching up to 40 kHz, adding airiness and openness to the sound. It also features wide dispersion, expanding the optimal listening area.
The lowest frequencies are handled by a bass “specialist” with a paper cone and long excursion, capable of reproducing frequencies below 40 Hz in typical listening rooms. It is supported by a front-firing bass reflex port designed with a large diameter, specific geometry, and carefully tuned length to maintain performance without compression even at higher volumes. The front-facing port also provides great flexibility in placement—the speakers can be positioned in a bookshelf, on a desk, or close to a wall.

Premium Internal Components
We did not compromise on internal electronics either. The speakers use components from the Danish brand Jantzen Audio, including Superes resistors and high-end Superior capacitors. Internal wiring, also from Jantzen Audio, consists of silver-plated oxygen-free copper in Teflon insulation, connected to massive gold-plated terminals.
Xyla aims to deliver high-end sound while using components typically found in much more expensive models—while maintaining a very reasonable price. The crossover components are not soldered onto a board but directly interconnected. The manufacturer also paid special attention to precise driver phase alignment to achieve wide and accurate spatial reproduction of recordings.
Xyla - Sound characteristics
-
Detailed yet pleasant sound
Thanks to 3-way construction, each driver plays in its own comfort zone, thus the sound is detailed but not unpleasant. Dedicated high-quality midrange driver covers the most sensitive part of music.
-
Deep and firm bass
Thanks to a dedicated subwoofer driver crossed low, the small enclosure delivers a substantial and deep base that is well controlled even at high-volumes thanks to carefully designed bassreflex geometry.
-
Accurate soundstage
Soundstage presentation is an essential component of music listening. When designing the speaker we have always paid close attention to accurate soundstage.
